garnier skin naturals fresh essentials 24hr hydrating day cream - normal/combination skin review

In this post I shall be reviewing the Garnier skin naturals fresh essentials 24hr hydrating day cream for normal to combination. Now that was a mouthful for a name! I have been using this cream daily for around the past six months and have just finished the tub.

The Claims
'The light formula not only hydrates for 24hrs, it is also enriched with vitamin E, to help protect skin against external aggressions. Skin's hydration is restored to a more optimal level. The delicately fresh and fruity fragrance offers an immediate sense of well-being'

The Reality
This is a lightweight moisturiser which soaks easily into the skin. The formula is non-greasy but at the same time provides an adequate amount of hydration. It left my skin nice and soft. My favourite thing about this product is the smell, it smells so good! So fresh and clean. I think it would be lovely for spring and summer.

The downsides are that the formulation does not contain SPF. For me personally I wouldn't agree with the claims that it hydrates your skin for 24 hours, maybe 6-8 hours.

Overall it is a reasonably priced, refreshing moisturiser that does the job. However there is no wow factor, and it hasn't changed my skin drastically in order to make it holy grail product for me.

The Packaging
As you can see in the pictures the cream comes in a simple plastic tub, it is in no way extravagant but it fulfils it's purpose. On the plus side the tub is recyclable, which gives it an extra point in my books.

The Price
Feel Unique: £4.85
Boots: £4.99
Superdrug: £5.05

The Ultimate Question: Would I Repurchase?
Maybe is the answer, mostly because I like to try out new products. Since I've finished this one i've started to use my Korres cream I showed in a recent haul post

Overall Score: 3.5/5

Have you tried this face cream? What are you thoughts?
