buttons abroad: kelly tartans

The picture shows the ferry...but are we on it?! The ferry is actually is just arriving...so you'll be glad (I hope!) to know that we got to the terminal just in time! I have no idea where the adrenaline came from. A combination of fear and determination I guess! I have to say though both of us were completely shattered after that. We got back and knocked out !

The next day we went to kelly tartans, which is an aquarium. It was a alright day out..we saw pengiuns and many types of fish..In my opinion its in an average aquarium. If you have time to kill than it's worth paying a visit, otherwise there are plenty of other things to do.

That evening we met up with a friend and we discovered an indian vegetarian restaurant. I have mentioned it before but i'll just mention it again that I am a lacto vegetarian which means I don't eat any type of meat, fish or eggs. I was glad to find the restaurant because a) I was missing indian food b) it's always hard to find a good vegetarian variety in places. This place is in the food court place near the cinemas on queens road, and its called Dosa hut (or maybe dosa place - something to that effect). I would definitely recommend it!

I was sad that I hadn't discovered the restaurant before as the next day we were to leave Auckland and arrive in the location we would be spending the next 6 weeks for our work placement...

I'll see you guys next week ;)

  6. Hi Sita and Radha!

The aquarium sounds soo fun and so does riding in the ferry. I have only ridden in a ferry once and I got really sea sick from all the bouncy waves.

I am a vegetarian too and I totally agree with you that it is hard to find a restaurant that has a variety of foods that are vegetarian. It is even harder to find vegetarian restaurants.

    Great Post :0)
