small feel unique haul

Hello Guys!

Following my empties post I had a few products that I needed to replace or in the case of the deodorant will soon need to replace so I picked up a few items from feel unique.

Dr Bronner's Organic Lotion in Lavender Coconut 
I was in need of a new body lotion and I liked that Dr Bronner's is certified fair trade and USDA organic, the products aren't tested on animals and that the ingredient list was chemical free. I went with the lavender coconut scent as I love coconut scents and as I tend to moisturise at night just before bed the lavender would help me fall a sleep.

Bull Dog Original Deodorant 
Bull Dog is actually a Men's natural skincare company, they're products are free from parabens, sodium laurath sulphate, artificial colours and synthetic fragrances, they do not test on animals and have the BUAV leaping bunny logo. The products are suitable for vegetarians and vegans. I know they are a men's skincare company and I'm not a man but at the end of the day it's deodorant, it doesn't bother me whether it's being marketed towards men or women.

Dr Bronner's Magic Soaps 18-in-1 Hemp Green Tea Pure Castile Soap 
Another Dr Bronner's product, I was intrigued by the 18 different uses, my original intention was to use this as a shampoo as I had finished the last of my shampoos as shown in my last empties post. However after using the product twice as a shampoo I think I may need to re-evaluate that plan. However there are still 17 other uses I need to test out!

Today we have a haul post for you from Organic Surge. We saw that they were holding a 75% of sale and we may have gone just a tad overboard.

This is the first time we have purchased any products from Organic Surge so we are excited to try out the brand.

In terms of delivery, our order took 7 days to arrive (bearing in mind that we did the place the order on a bank holiday). Aside from the Brown Sugar Body Polish which has completely melted and had leaked slightly the rest of the order was intact. They are wrapped it up in its own plastic bag and then bubble wrap so the leakage was thankfully contained.

We decided to stock up on the cleansing wipes whilst they were on offer, but annoyingly the expiry date is July! So that plan backfired!

Organic Surge products are 100% free of harsh chemicals – no parabens, sodium lauryl sulphate, no artificial fragrances or colourants and no genetically modified ingredients

All of the products that we purchased are free from animal derived ingredients and suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

The Buddha Beauty Company Apple Avocado & Aloe Clay Mask £12

The Buddha Beauty Company Massage Candles 3 for £10 

One of the brands we discovered at the Bristol Vegfest was The Buddha Beauty Company. Described by themselves as a British Brand with a love of the Far East.

Their products are:

- Paraben Free

- SLS Free

- Organic

- Cruelty Free

- Naturally Derived

The company is approved by the BUAV and the Vegan Society.

We were on the hunt for a new face mask and this Apple, Avacado & Aloe Clay Mask smelt absolutely delicious, just like fresh apples, and claimed to leave our skin glowing, so we couldn't leave without it.

In addition to the face mask we bought a few of The Buddha Beauty Company's 100% Organic Soy Wax Candles. These lovely candles not only give a off a lovely fragrance but the melted wax can be used as a massage oil. You can see this being demo'd on Radha in the pictures above. We bought three of the small sized candles in Serenity, May Chung and Tranquilty to sample a few of the different scents

We're super-excited to try out our new products! A girl's spa night in already planned! 

As always we will review the products in full once we've had a chance to get our teeth into them.

vegan beauty haul: sukin natural skincare

One of the stalls that we were attracted to at the Bristol Vegfest was Sukin, an Australian Natural Skincare Brand.

What appealed to us about the brand was that all products are free from Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS), Sodium Laureth Sulphate (SLES),  synthetic fragrances, animal derivatives, harsh detergents, propylene glycol, artificial colours, triethanolamine, mineral oils, EDTA, or parabens.

Furthermore all Sukin products are Vegan and not tested on animals. The brand has been accredited by the Choose Cruelty Free (CCF) Program. 

We restrained ourselves and only bought two products: 

- Sukin Certified Organic Rose Hip Oil (With free Rose Hip Cream Cleanser) £11

- Sukin Natural Deodorant £6 

Super excited to try out these products! Full reviews to come once we've had a chance to really dig into them.

It's time for a Primark haul! These are a few items that we picked up over the month of April. You guys know that here at Buttons Apart we a love a good bargain and on this occasion we found some great sale items. We've already worn some items which you can see here and here.

the body shop haul

 Body Polisher £4

I recently popped into the Body Shop to buy a Body Polisher and ended up buying a couple of other items too. The Body polisher has great reviews on the website and it claims to be good for dry skin. As it is a long nylon polisher it is also to exfoliate the back. I have used it a few times and will post a review soon.

Vitamin E Cleansing Bar £3 (100g)

 

I also picked up the Vitamin E cleansing bar. I was a bit dubious about a soap-like cleanser but it too has great reviews and it can be used on the body as well as the face. If it works well I thought it would be a great product to take with you on holiday as it is dual usage and wouldn't face any restrictions on carrying it in your hand luggage. I will also do a review  for this bar once I have tested it out.

Rainforest Moisture Hair Butter £3 (50ml)

I already have a large Rainforest Moisture Hair Butter and love it. Check out our review here. I picked up a smaller pot to take with me when I'm away from home.

t k maxx haul

Today's post is a little haul from TK Maxx. We love bargains and TK Maxx is one of favourite places to find a good deal.

Cotton Denim  Shirt £10 

On this trip I found this cotton denim shirt which will be great to wear as a top or as a cover up when the weather gets a bit warmer.

Book £4.99

I also spotted this random book. It's a light-hearted and humorous read. The tips offered are a bit obvious though so I wouldn't really recommend buying it. 

Bag £15

I popped in to T K Maxx to look for smart bags for work and ended up buying a stripey weekend bag. I sometimes have to travel for work so this is perfect for an overnight stay. It's also great for when I've got loads to take and don't want to carry multiple items. The inside is divided into three compartments and it also came with a free foldable shopper.

Bag £11

On another occassion I picked up this purple Osprey London bag. I was initially drawn to it by it's colour and size. I tend to have large bags as I'm always carying around everything except the kitchen sink! I wanted a smart smaller bag but one which I could still fit essential items into and this bag fits the bill perfectly.

crabtree & evelyn hand creams haul

I suffer from a bad case of very dry hands. My skin on my hands sometimes gets so rough, to the point where it cracks and starts to bleed, which is rather horrible. It's somewhat peculiar as the skin on the rest of my body is normal.

You won't be surprised to here that I'm always keen to try out new hand creams in order to find a solution, something that will revive my dry hands. To keep them hydrated and feeling soft, not just on initially application but for a longer period of time as well. I have a tub of hand cream everywhere, in my bag, at my desk, on my night stand, all in an attempt to keep them moisturised.

After reading a few good reviews about the Crabtree & Evelyn hand creams I decided to give them a shot. In fact they are award winning according to the Crabtree & Evelyn website. They do a variety of different flavours so I decided to go for four different ones instead of all the same. I opted for the smaller 50g tubes retailing at £9 each so they are nice and convenient to keep in different places.

Hi guys! I have a Boots haul for you today.

Firstly I have had my eye on the Real Technique brushes for a while now and when I spotted they were on 3 for 2 at Boots I could not help but take advantage of this offer! I picked myself up a core collection face set and starter set for the eyes, and then picked up another core collection set for Radha. Super excited to start using these!

I know Christmas has long gone but I spotted a shelf full of these philosophy bubble bath's on clearance and I could not pass up the offer. The bubble bath is a fun bright pink colour and has a delicious fruity berry scent. I'm hoping it will bubble up nicely!

I am a sucker for deal's and when I saw that the Colgate Max white one toothpaste was half price  I couldn't leave it sitting on the shelf, because who doesn't want a whiter teeth?!

Lastly I was given a five pound off No7 skincare voucher so I felt as though I had to buy something with it, after spending half an hour looking through the No7 products I settled on this No7 beautiful skin radiance exfoliator. I have used No7 skincare products in the past but not since everything has been reformulated and repackaged so I'm interested to see how this product will work out.

I was also in the market for a BB cream however there were so many different options, that I got a bit overwhelmed. One of two things could have happened, the first being I came out with like five different options to try and the second being I came out with nothing. My wallet is certainly glad it was the latter rather than the former!!

Any recommendation's/suggestion's for BB cream's for normal/slightly dry skin?

beauty haul: lush and benefit

Happy Friday guys! Are you glad its nearly the weekend? In Today's post I'm sharing with you guys a few new products I picked up and my initial thoughts on them. 

Lush The Sacred Truth Fresh Face Mask: £5.95 

First Impressions: 

I have been feeling though my skin has been looking a little dull and tired lately so I decided to pop into Lush to pick up a fresh face mask. After discussion with the lovely assistant I opted for the sacred truth face mask I have already used it once yesterday night and have to say I really like it. I feel that my skin looks brighter and feels really soft after using it.  I will do a full review on this once I have used it a few more times. 

The lady in the store also gave me a sample of the Lush Dream Cream to test out, I have heard many good things about this cream, and I have already used it last night and this morning and I know that I really like it. I'm going to be good and resist going and picking up a full size version until I have finished my current moisturiser. I also picked up this little charity pot as 100% of the proceeds go to charity. 

Benefit Boi-ing Concealer £16.50

First Impresssions: 

I was in the market for a new concealer and I have read many good reviews on this concealer. I have used it once and my first impressions are good, it is a nice creamy consistency and blends nicely. For anyone interested I bought the shade medium 03. Again I will do a full review once I've had more of a play with it. 

Last but not least I picked up an April issue of glamour magazine, I decided to share this with you guys because the magazine has a free gift with purchase this month. There is a choice of four Percy & Reed products, Moisturising Shampoo, Moisturising Conditioner, Finishing Polish or TLC Mask. So definitely take advantage of this offer if your interested.

We can't stay away from primark for too long and have another haul for you! Although this time we were really good and only picked up a few items.

We couldn't pass up these primark clutch bags that were on sale for only £3 each. With weddings and other events coming coming up during the spring/summer we figured that having a few neutral clutch options can only be a good thing.

We also picked up these primark collar tips, which we thought would be a great way to jazz up a plain shirt.

Sita also picked up the primark blue knitted jumper for herself. Even though it's officially the first the day of spring today I can still see myself getting use out of this jumper for a few more months (especially as it is still so cold!)

joining the candle bandwagon

Aromabotanical Rose & Sandalwood Candle £4.99 from TK Maxx

Hi guys! 

The other day I was in TK Maxx and I picked up my first candle. Candles seem to be very popular around the blogosphere so I was intrigued to find out what all the hype was about. I'm sure this must be some kind of right of passage! 

I'm not familiar with this brand but I had a whiff of a couple and went with the one I liked the smell off. The candle smells of roses with woody undertones. It reminds me of spring, with blooming flowers and country walks. I can't wait for spring to actually arrive! 

I would definitely recommend checking out TK maxx if your in the market for candles, as they have a wide range with reasonable prices.

new jewellery

Sita's weakness is definitely clothes, but my weakness has to be accessories.  More so when I spot a bargain.

I haven't been into Claire's accessories for a while now, however when I was walking pass last week and I saw a little sale section inside, I couldn't resist popping in and having a peak.

I picked up these few bits, for a rather good deal might I add!

Hey guys!

This is my collective haul for items I picked up from H&M recently. I managed to pick up some bargains for only £1. Firstly, I got a purple sequined collar. It's a perfect way to jazz up an outfit and I love the different colours when the light hits it. It reminds me of a mermaids tail.

Sita & I  picked up this cosy knitted cream scarf each, which has been perfect for keeping us warm during the colder months.

I could not pass up these tights in various colours. I particularly love the mint green tights, they'll be perfect for spring with my cream brogues.

My favourite item has to be an orange duffel coat for £10. Orange is my favourite colour and this coat is a perfect way to brighten up an outfit during the winter months. It also has a hood which is handy for when it rains!
