cetaphil gentle skin cleanser review

In today's post we are going to review the Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser. We picked this cleanser up a few months ago in Costco and have been using it ever since.

We thought it would be useful to tell you our skin types:
Sita's skin type: Normal - Dry
Radha's skin type: Very Dry & Sensitive

The Claims
A mild formulation that gently moisturises and removes unwanted impurities, without stripping the skin’s natural protective oils and emollients, or upsetting the pH balance. Exceptionally soothing and fragrance-free, daily use relieves the dryness often caused by medicated skin products without itching or irritation.

The Reality
We would say the cetaphil gentle skin cleanser meet's it claims. The product is non drying and left our skin feeling soft and clean. There was no tight feeling. Last but not least neither of us broke out.

For those of you who like your cleanser to lather to get that clean and fresh feeling then this cleanser is probably not for you as it does not foam up. We were trying to figure out what the product smells like but it doesn't particularly smell of anything and then we realised it was fragrance free, so if you like something fragrant that is going to wake you up then this one is not for you either. Neither of these things particularly bother us.

Overall this is a great cleanser which worked just as well for both us even with our different skin types.

The Packaging
The packaging is practical. The pump on top makes it easy to dispense the right amount of product.

The Price
Costco (instore) £18.98/2x 591ml
Feel Unique: £8.35/
Boots: £8.99/236ml

The Ultimate Question: Would I Repurchase?
Yes most definitely!

The Overall Score: 4.5/5

Have you tried the cetaphil gentle skin cleanser? What are your thoughts?

Sita and Radha xoxo

  12. Great review! I love this stuff. Although when I was younger I avoided it because of the non-foaming properties - didn't think it was really cleansing, although now that I'm older and wiser I realize that it's not a necessity.
