letting go of makeup boxes



Well this is rather embarrassing to admit. I like to keep makeup packaging. Just high end packaging, not all, not that that makes it any better.I have no idea why I have difficulty letting go of packaging and bags but I do.

If you do the same then please let me know in the comments below so I know I'm not the only one!

As part of my buy nothing new for a year challenge I also want to do a bit of de-cluttering. So I've decided that its time to let go of these cardboard boxes that are creating clutter and taking up space in my room. Not only are they taking up space I have no actual plans to do anything with them.

To the recycling they go!

    Yep I do exactly the same. My excuse is one day I might need to store them in something where I can't see the product easily so storing it in the box will allow me to see the product name. I've never needed to do it yet but just in case haha.

    Oh my god! I thought it was just me haha! I'm such a hoarder of any luxury brand make up box. I have a whole draw full of empty boxes of MAC, Benefit & Bobbi Brown cosmetics. Preach it!!!

    I'm another one that tends to keep the boxes. I'm even bad about keeping boxes from the drugstore thinking that I'm going to reference it when I do a blog post about that product. I NEVER do! Time for me to go through and throw out some boxes too. Thanks for the motivation. :-)

    I'm so glad I'm not the only one! They clutter up my room so much but they are often so pretty and the Benefit ones sometimes come with instructions I like to keep. I also like them for reference when it comes to colours and such. I will have to do a clear out sometime soon though.
