korres wild rose 24-hour moisturising & brightening cream: review

Some of you may recall I hauled the Korres Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturising & Brightening Cream back in February. I've been using it daily for two months now, enough time for me to do a review.

The Claims
Wild rose fruit is noted for its high vitamin C level that demonstrates significant repairing action on fine lines and pigmentation disorders. Furthermore, wild Rose oil, rich in linoleic and linolenic acid, offers significant moisturising, healing and softening properties. At the same time, it forms a protective film on the skin that helps the cell regeneration and improves the texture of the epidermis.

The Reality
This cream is just lovely, it is light in texture but moisturises beautifully. After two months of using this cream my skin feels hydrated and brighter. The face cream absorbs quite well and did not break me out out either.

I have to say that the scent is not what I was expecting at all, not "rosy" as I thought it would be, but rather more of a herbal scent. It is quite subtle though and does not stick around.

The main downside with  this cream is that it is only spf 6, it would be nice if they made it with at least spf 15!

Overall I really like the korres wild rose cream. I love how soft it leaves my face feeling and that the majority of ingredients are natural and that it is free of nasties like SLE's and parabens.

The Packaging
The product comes in the standard glass tub that most face creams come in.

The Price
Asos: £20/40ml
Feel Unique: £20/40ml

The Ultimate Question: Would I Repurchase?
Yes

The Overall Score: 4.2/5

Have you tried this Korres wild rose face cream? What are your thoughts?

asos beauty haul

For those of you guys that follow us on twitter, you'll know that I had a package arrive this morning from ASOS. I honestly am such a little kid and get super excited whenever I have a package delivered! I can't wait to open it up and try out the new items. I picked up a few sale items, so here's a little peak in case your interested to pick them up yourself!

Korres Wild Rose Skincare Set £13.50 (Was £25)

This set includes:

  • Wild Rose 24-hour Moisturising & Brightening Cream (40ml)
  • Milk Proteins Cleansing & Make Removing Wipes (25pk)
  • Cosmetics Pouch

First impressions:
This is actually my first Korres purchase. I love that the brand sources natural ingredients for there products and is cruelty free & vegan friendly!  I was interesting to try out this face cream after reading good reviews on the product. I love anything rose scented, and so I'm immediately in love with the scent. I'm excited to incorporate this product into my skincare routine. The cream on it's own is currently retailing at £19 in many places so this is definitely a bargain! The wipes and pouch are an additional bonus.

A Picture of Stila Written in The Stars Palette

This palette includes:
  • 12 Eye Shadow Shades
First impressions:
This is one of Stila's limited edition holiday palettes, a larger snowflake palette including thirty eye shadow and blush shades is also on sale. The reason I choose the smaller palette, was because I was looking for something compact to use whilst travelling. I love the mixture of matte and shimmery shades and think this could be an alternative to my urban decay naked palette. I'm really excited to experiment and play with the eye shadows. Although I love the pretty snow flake design of this palette, I'm not to keen on the packaging as it is quite plasticy and I feel that it could break easily. However for only £8 you can't really go wrong.

The set includes:
  • 6 Eye Shadows
  • 1 Convertible Colour in Lillium
  • 1 Lip Glaze in Kitten
First impressions:
I love the pretty packaging of this palette, I'm a real sucker for packaging! I also love how compact this palette, it may be hard to tell from the picture but the palette fits nicely into the palm of my hand.

I see this palette being perfect for travelling or popping into my handbag. The six eye shadow shades are all neutral based, there is a nice mix of shimmery and matte shades. The convertible colour will work with most skin shades. There is also a nicely sized mirror, handy for touching up your make up on the go. The lip glaze is such a pretty peachy shade, with small specks of gold glitter. Overall on first impressions, this palette has the slight edge over the written in the stars palette above.

If you guys are interested in seeing swatches of the eye shadows or would like full reviews on these products then please let me know in the comments below.
