last minute halloween outfit

Hi guys!

Just a quick and very easy last minute Halloween outfit idea for you...if you haven't yet got your outfit planned!

This pirate look was very simple to do. I paired a striped long sleeved t-shirt with some red trousers. I added some black boots and multiple long necklaces. I wore a scarf around my head and completed the look by making my own pirates eye patch. I did this by cutting out an eye patch shape from  a piece of black card, I then poked holes either end threaded through a piece of string and tied it around my head.

Happy Halloween!

the little black shoe

The Little Black Shoe
All shoes from BarrattsSandal £50 | Bootie £29.75 | Platform | Pointed Toe £30 | Lace £45 | Midheel £25| Flats £20 | Ankle Strap £12 | Peeptoe £74| Glitter £20
The Christmas party season is almost upon us. Both of us have been on the hunt for some cute party shoes we can rock. As a general rule, if our outfit is quite sparkly and colourful, we like to go for some glamourous classic shoes. However if our outfit is more on the plain side then we would go for some fabulous stand out sparkly, sequined, colourful shoes. This time we're looking for a pair of black shoes to complement our sparkly outfits!

Whilst looking for some shoe inspiration we came across a competition to win £70 worth of Barratts shoes. So we thought why not have a browse on the site and see what we could find. We found so many amazing options, it was so hard to whittle it down to just to two (one for each of us) options.

We ended up going off on a tangent and this is what we came up with...The Little Black Shoe!

Now we have all heard of the little black dress. The dress that fits you like a glove, which always saves the day, whatever event it may be. The dress you can always rely on when you can't find anything to wear. The dress that gives you that extra burst of confidence when you put it on.

We believe everyone should also own the little black shoe. A fabulous pair of shoes that goes with any outfit. The shoe that is comfortable but stylish. The shoe you never tire of wearing. The shoe that makes you hold your head up high and walk down the street like you own it.

We understand that everyone has their own preferences and style so we have a variety of options to give you guys some inspiration, anything from platforms to flats and everything else in between.

To conclude if we win the competition we shall definitely be choosing one each from these options. If we could buy them all we would! We had so much fun creating this post that we have decided to provide you with some more inspiration on how you can glam it up this party season. Be sure to come back next week :)

If you would like to enter the competition you can find more information here

Which one is your favourite shoe?

a new award

Hey guys! The lovely Cindi at Cherries and Sunflowers awarded us this blog award. We just want to say a huge thank you to her. She has a great blog so do check it out! We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all our followers for all your support that you have given us. Thank you guys, we really appreciate it!

The rules basically are, you answer the 11 questions, make up your own 11 questions and pass it on to 11 other blogs, who do the same. So lets get into the questions!

1. Which country is your favourite? (Can't chose your own)

Sita: New Zealand. I loved the two months I spent in New Zealand travelling, would love to go back.

Radha: Switzerland. I went a few years ago on a field trip to visit CERN. I love the mix of the old city and new shops. I also enjoyed visiting the museums and the UN building.

2. What is your favourite food?

Sita: Indian food :)

Radha: Indian food. In particular my mum's homemade cooking, you can't beat your mum's food.

3. If you won a million Euros, what would you do with the money?

Sita: Buy a house and a car and if there's any left over go on holiday.

Radha: Take a sabbatical and travel around the world.

4. Is there a piece in your wardrobe, you know you'll never get tired of wearing?

Sita:  I have a go to little black dress tea dress, which I will never get tired of wearing and always bring out when I cant find anything to wear. My size hasn't changed over the past 10 years (although my style has!), so I guess a lot of pieces I have bought over the last few years, I will wear them until I have to chuck them before I get tired of wearing them.

Radha: It's a abstract pattern dress I got from TK Maxx for £8. It's made from a stretchy material so fits even if I've put on some weight. It's smart so perfect for meetings or interviews too.

5. How long have you been reading blogs?

Sita: for the past 3-4 years

Radha:  Around 2 years

6. Who takes your photos?

Sita mainly does the photography for the blog.

7. What is your favourite movie?

Sita: I'm very bad at picking favourites, there are too many good films!

Radha: Home alone. I never get tired of the movies, it takes me right back to my childhood and they're still funny everytime I watch them.

8. Do you do sports?

Sita: No, unless you call running for the bus a sport haha

Radha: No sports but I do try to exercise to keep fit.

9. How would you spend a grey and rainy afternoon?

Sita: It is actually a grey and rainy afternoon as I'm answering and i'm currently wrapped up in my duvet, I shall be watching a movie or catching up with a TV show after i'm done. I would say exactly what i'm doing now, either reading a book, watching a movie or a tv show catch up session.

Radha: Baking. It always cheers  me up and you get yummy treats to eat at end!

10. Which holiday do you like the most and why?

Sita: I love Christmas, I love watching Christmas movie's, and its also our gran's birthday on Christmas day so the whole family gets together and its nice to catch up with everyone.

Radha: Diwali, I love getting together with family and enjoying amazing food. Then you've got the Indian New Year after which means going to families houses and enjoying more amazing food.

11. What is your favourite perfume?

Sita: Chanel No.5, I really like Gucci guilty and Prada milano as well. I also really love the Bodyshop rose perfume oil, I like to use that on a daily basis.

Radha: I'm currently using Le petit robe noir and Chanel No.5 is a classic.

tory burch dupes and new curling iron

Hey guys! I went to Tesco's yesterday evening, grocery shopping, and I always have to check out the clothes section when I'm there. I spotted these flats, which reminded me a lot of the the Tory Burch flats. However at only £12.50 they are only a fraction of the price. I couldn't help taking a picture to share with you all, to show you if were interested in some dupes.

Whilst in store I stumbled upon this curling wand reduced from £25 to £11 and couldn't resist picking it up. Hairstyling is really not my forte, I'm a wash and go kinda person. I occasionally bring out my straightening irons from hibernation on special occasions. My hair is naturally straight but I love curly voluminous hair. I've seen a lot of tutorials on YouTube with curling irons and have been thinking about picking some up for myself when I see a good deal and yesterday was that day! I'm really excited to play with these :)  I'll definitely let you guys know what I think.

Enjoy the rest of your day

    black & white: casual outfit

    Black & White
    All Items from Topshop | Rings: £10 | Bracelets: £10 | T-shirt: £22 | Leggings: £28 | Clutch: £18 | Eyeliner: £4 | Boots: £70 | Earrings: £12.50

Hey Everyone! How was everyone's Monday? Are you back to work today? I was back to work wishing the weekend had an extra day as it was so hectic!

I was attracted to these geometric black and white earrings on the topshop website, which inspired me to create an outfit around them, continuing with the black and white theme. I decided to stick with a casual, comfy outfit, but still keeping it stylish.I paired together a tee with some leggings (can't really go wrong), adding some boots and a clutch. For accessories I picked a few bracelets and rings, which can be stacked together.

Personally I don't think black and white is for me, I was really tempted to add a pop of colour!

What do you think of black and white outfits? Do you like them? Do you prefer something with a bit more colour?

Happy Saturday Everyone! Hope your enjoying the beautiful sunshine :) One thing I enjoy doing when I have a few spare moments over the weekend, is having a browse online and lusting over pretty items that I may want to purchase when payday comes around.

These are a few items I have my eye on. I definitely seem to be having a neutral scheme going on. I usually gravitate towards bold colours and my style reflects that, but recently I have been gearing more towards neutral shades and you will definitely be seeing more neutral shades in my outfits.

Did you like the items on my wishlist? Which one is your favourite?

    happy father's day!

    Hey guys!

In the UK it's father's day today so I'd just like to say happy father's day to our Dad. Thanks for all your help and support over the years. We love you loads.

I got him a cassette to mp3 converter (see below). He's got a small suitcase full of old tapes mostly of old Bollywood movies so thought this would be perfect for him. As well as converting them into mp3 format, the device can also be used as a walkman. It's been so fun listening to our old tapes this morning, it brings back good memories from my childhood. I would definitely recommend getting one of these.

Happy father's day to all the dads. Hope you enjoy your special day.

    Garnier deodorant review

    Hey guys!

I recently received the new Garnier mineral deodorant sample. I was quite surprised as I didn't realise Garnier made deodorant! The deodorant claims to to leave clean feeling, fresh underarms so much so that you feel you can wear your top twice. Now that's one hell of a claim! It doesn't contain alcohol, which is always a plus for me as I have really sensitive skin and suffer from eczema. It is enriched with an ultra-absorbent mineralite from volcanic source and claims to provide 48hrs of protection. It also contains an anti-bacterial agent, which is suppose to help prevent odour.

I was pleasantly surprised with the product even though I usually prefer using roll-ons. The lock switch on the bottle work well- no spillages in my bag. I did not get any white marks on my clothes which is always great when wearing black. But most of all, I was impressed as I was left with dry, fresh feeling and smelling underarms for over 24hrs even in the hot weather we've been having recently in the UK! I didn't test it for the full 48hrs. It has a fresh and subtle smell, which I liked. I also found it was great if you had cut yourself shaving (something I always manage to do!) The cuts healed relatively quickly. As to it's claim, I definitely was able to wear a top twice whist using it. It cost about the same as a bottle of Sure or Sanex.

So what are the downsides? Well the only ones I could find were availability. It is available at selected online stores and larger stores only. I definitely loved the product and would recommend it if you can get your hands on it!

    Have a good weekend =D

    mustard, monochrome and movies

    Hey guys!
Summer's here!!!!! After the snow and rain (yep snow!), the sun has finally come out. Today I wore my monochrome striped dress from Miss Selfridge with black tights and the black brogues Sita got me for £3 from Primark. I also wore a large beaded necklace gifted to me. My camera died before I could take a close up  so will post one later. I also wore it with my mustard cardigan from Next.

The other day I went to watch What to expect when you're expecting. The film boasts an all star cast and follows various couples coping with the challenges they face throughout pregnancy and adoption. Including a celebrity couple, Jules (Cameron Diaz) and Evan (Matthew Morrison), who were partners on a dance show. The film's received mixed reviews, I enjoyed it but would say it's one that I would probably wait until it was one TV to watch.

    2. Bath or shower?
Shower, although I love a long soak to relax. I'm
really missing taking a shower as I currently only
        have a bath.

    3. What's your go to outfit?
I have this abstract print dress that I picked up from T K Maxx in the sale
for only £8. It's amazingly flattering - even if I've put on some weight! I've
wore it for interviews, weddings and general day-to-day. I can't go wrong
with dress, black tights and a smart jacket.

    new beginnings

Hello everyone! Its been one month since i've been blogging. I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for all your love and support. It means so much to me as it's something I love doing and want to continue with.

You may have noticed that the blog looks a tiny little bit different..a new layout, a new name and also a new contributor!!!...okay...so maybe a lot different!

I would like you all to welcome my sister, radha, she will be posting regularly and this blog will be something we do together. This doesn't mean I won't be posting as often, it just means you get to enjoy twice as many posts, new ideas and different viewpoints so yay!

I hope you like the new changes, let us know what you think and I hope you'll continue to support us!

    sita xoxo
