Maxi skirts are no doubt one of my favourite pieces for summer. It's surprising to think before I started blogging I had never own a maxi skirt. I always thought that they would make me look shorter then I already am, but on the contrary they actually make me look taller!

Maxi skirts are such a versatile piece, they can be dressed up or down, they can be plain or printed, neon or pastel. They also come in handy on those day's you can't be bothered to shave!

In this outfit I wore my Olivia Rubin for Dorothy Perkin's dress, but as it is pretty cold I wore a jumper on top and belted it to look more like a skirt.

When shopping I definitely look for pieces that are versatile. I like to style a piece in a variety of different ways to get maximum usage and create different looks.

A dress is such a versatile piece, styled correctly you can wear it as skirt, as a top, take it to take it from day to night, transition it from season to season.

quick & simple valentines day outfit idea

This is a really simple quick and easy outfit to put together. I'm wearing a peplum top from primark with some pretty lace detailing at the top together with some dark skinny jeans. I completed the look by adding a black structured blazer, black pumps and  a simple black patent leather clutch. I wore this outfit to meet some friends, but it could definitely be something to wear for valentines day, if your going on a first date, out to drinks, or even just out to dinner with friends. 

So ladies, if you're stuck for what to wear on valentines day and are looking for a last minute quick and easy outfit. Open your wardrobe, take out your best fitting pair of jeans, pick a pretty top, then put on your go-to fitted blazer or jacket. Complete the look with some pumps and a clutch and some earrings or a necklace to accessorize. And your good to go!
